Joey has been a lifelong collector. As a kid, he collected and sold sports cards at local flea markets and card shops. Fond memories of his childhood and the simpler times then brought about his interest in the advertising hobby. Joey’s first sign was simply a street sign found with his wife in SC with the name of their pet bulldog Sampson. As the years progressed he began collecting more signs as well as selling signs on eBay, online via Petrojoe.com, at shows, and directly to clients. Joey has a degree in Public Relations from Appalachian State University with minor(s) in Business and Psychology. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Olivia Pleasants Whiteside, since 2003. They have 4 children who also enjoy antiques and collecting. Joey enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children, coaching various youth sports teams in Polk County, NC, hunting for advertising and Ford Mustangs.
