At The Authentication Company (TAC), we want to make sure you know the value of your hard-earned collection, authenticated by an experienced expert. 

Authenticating your advertising signs is a great way to ensure that you pay approprate costs for items to build your collection. Our TAC sticker is visual proof that your sign has been carefully reviewed and studied by an expert antique sign authenticator at The Authentication Company.

Our TAC stickers are widely recognized in the antique signs industry. With the TAC sticker, you and potential buyers will know that your sign is authentic and not a reproduction. Therefore, it is more valuable.

You don't need to be a member of TAC to get a TAC sticker. However, discounts apply for members. We offer a variety of membership levels for every collector.

What We Authenticate:

The Authentication Company offers authentication services for various categories of antique advertising signage, including

Porcelain Signs • Harley-Davidson, Indian, and other Motorcycle Signs • Petroliana Glass Globes and Signs  • Automobile Signs Country Store Signs • Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and other soda company signs.


How We Authenticate: 

To ensure an accurate authentication, we don't authenticate through photos. You must send your items to us for proper authentication. Is your collection too big to ship? Want us to come to you? We can do that! Contact us if you have a large collection and we can make arrangements to authenticate your collection wherever it is. 


How it Works:

1. Choose which items from your collection you would like to authenticate. 

2. Download and complete our submission form.

3. Package your items for shipment.  

4. When we receive your package, we will make sure each item received matches your submitted form information and send an email letting you know.

5. Authentication turnaround time is 14 business days.

6. After reviewing your items, TAC will send an invoice to your email address. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice. We accept Payal, checks and money orders. Remember that TAC gold and platinum members receive a discount on authentication services.

7. TAC will affix an official TAC sticker with a number to the authenticated item(s).

8. TAC will return the items in packaging provided by the customer. However, if we find the customer packaging as insufficient to protect your items, we reserve the right to charge for correct packing materials to ensure safe delivery. (Charges vary.)
